【TS vs TRS】: Instrument cable is unbalanced (TS) audio cable. The port is 1/4" TS. If you want to plug in your guitar or bass or even keyboard, you need unbalanced (TS) audio cables, not balanced (TRS) audio cables. TRS cables will produce inferior results in these situations and sometimes may not work at all, depending on the construction and wiring of the things they'll be plugged into. Be sure you are buying the right kind of cable.
