Its large-diameter alnico V rod magnets and overzealous coil windings supply the perfect platform for crunchy palm-mute rock rhythms and scorching upper-register lead lines. Tonally, the SSL–7 is kissing cousins with the SSL-4, but features staggered pole pieces for better clarity in the D and G strings.
