This film explores with an in-depth look at the world famous Durango & Silverton Narrow Gauge Railroad in the Southwestern corner of Colorado. Filmed with two broadcast quality cameras in a unique two camera perspective, you not only see the railroads equipment you also view the breathtaking scenery the trains are trying to traverse. You will see and hear four doubleheaders, lots of steam, smoke, and whistles, a meet between two trains at Elk Park, a cab ride in the Durango Yard and a near perfect re-creation of the famous Jackson Photo. Watch 42 different trains at 40 different locations along this scenic line. A graphics screen is shown before each scene that shows the type of locomotive(s), grade level and milepost where the scene was filmed. The main menu includes an option to watch this film with or without narration. This may very well be one of the extensive video logs ever attempted of this historical railroad.
