Following in the vein of confessional poetry set by Sexton, Bukowski, and Berryman, A Lust for Love is a self-inflicted, crude, and cruel journey through cocktail bars, strip clubs, girls' bedrooms, red-lit rooms, tearful breakups, porn collections, and melancholy memories. However, through poetry and verse, this collection is also a rare documentation of an inconvenient truth; the flipside of feminism: the hidden, ugly, reflection of how masculine energy is spent trying to cover up loss and loneliness through addiction and love.
