This is a parenting/caregiver tool to identify and work through emotions & feelings. Often we use (and I sell plenty of) reward / consequence tools, but these are a scratch the surface fix. Ideally, we need to help our little ones figure out what’s going on in their heads, help them process through it, and show them the tools to help themselves. This chart is meant as an Aid to help you guide your child through their feelings, open up a dialog of self discovery and then to teach them the tools to get them back on track. Unlike my other Colorful Thermometer Behavior Charts none of the colors on this one are bad. Ideally we would always love to stay in the Green Zone, but that’s just not life.
