About Gas Mark 3
Baked A La Ska are the true sound of Manchester ska. Since 2008, they have been serving up the sweetest of good party vibes, vintage ska sounds and an eccentric platter of covers. On their third album, Gas Mark 3 (The Slow Burner), the band broaden the production pallet to include everything but the kitchen sink and cooker; tuba, lap steel guitar, tubular bells, bass harmonica, toy piano, theremin, bass sax, stylophone etc. - each instrument adds their flavour to the one true skank whilst singers Kuntri Ranks, Tommy Robot, Frank the Skank, Robin Sunflower, Bulldog Morel and Basil Padprik put their individual icings on top. Baked A La Ska are synonymous with legendary shows at Manchester's - 'Band On The Wall' and have performed riotous sets at the 'Kendal Calling', 'Matthew Street', 'Saddfest' and 'Hungry Pigeon' Festivals.
