About Cool Kids Speak Italian - Book 2: Enjoyable

Product Description With fun activity sheets, great word searches & lovely colouring pages, Cool Kids Speak Italian Book 2 is an ideal book for children learning Italian. The suggested age range for this book is 7 to 11 year olds, but the fun activities may also interest children of other ages. The topics in book 2 include Numbers 11-20 – Sport – Fruit – Clothes – Transport – Ice creams. Each topic begins with a page full of images and the Italian words for the topic. Progression throughout each of the topics has been carefully planned as the activities practice only a few of the new words at any one time, and gradually introduce simple sentence structures. At the back of the book is a useful Italian - English word list and the answer section. This lovely book is one of a series and has been written by Joanne Leyland, a qualified teacher with almost 20 years experience in teaching languages to children. About the Author Joanne Leyland specialises in writing books teaching foreign languages to children in a fun and engaging way. Her varied range includes activity books, holiday phrase books with challenges, special Christmas editions, photocopiable games and stories. Joanne studied languages at University and she lived abroad for almost 2 years in the 1990s. Before she became a teacher she worked in exporting where she enjoyed speaking her foreign languages on a daily basis. She has now been teaching languages to 3 to 11 year olds for almost 20 years. The two things she loves most about teaching is seeing her pupils enjoy her lessons and using her creativity to help them learn. When she isn’t teaching or writing another book, she’s probably speaking French, Spanish, German or Italian with her friends, trying out a new recipe, swimming or gardening. She’s still a lot to learn about growing vegetables, but she’s giving it a go, and believes it’s always good to learn something new.
