About The Show Act Two
Celtic Thunder- Act II is a journey through the Celtic heritage of the 5 principal soloists, backed as ever by the dramatic 8-piece Celtic Thunder Band and supported by a full orchestra. Act II CD features a varied and eclectic song selection that encompasses both traditional and contemporary Irish music. Songs such as Danny Boy and A Bird Without Wings pay homage to a Celtic heritage, while international hits Mull of Kintyre, I Want to Know What Love Is and Nights in White Satin highlight the diversity of the soloists. Phil Coulter, Musical Director for Act II also composed the original numbers Heartbreaker and That's A Woman especially for this show. New (2015) recordings on the CD of the ensemble numbers Danny Boy and Caledonia feature new members Colm Keegan and Emmett O'Hanlon.
