About Low Level Residual Quaternary Ammonium

Check for residual levels of QAC with the Low Level QAC Test strip (Quaternary Ammonium Compounds). This strip is calibrated at 10, 20, 50 and 100ppm. The color block for 10ppm is actually ≤10ppm, but the color change from 0-10 is so insignificant, it’s difficult to see the difference. Instructions: Remove one test strip from the vial, being careful not to touch the test pad with your fingers. Dip the test strip into the solution being tested and move back and forth 5 times, then remove. Compare the test strip to the color chart after 10 seconds. To test for residues on surfaces wet the strip's testing pad with water (distilled if available) & press against the surfaces of fruits, vegetables, cutting boards & utensils, etc. for at least 10 seconds, then compare against the color chart.
