About Dow Corning 795 Silicone Building Sealant - Grey

Dow Corning 795 Grey Silicone Building Sealant is a one-part, cold-applied, non-sagging silicone material that cures to a medium modulus silicone rubber upon exposure to atmospheric moisture. Dow Corning 795 Building Sealant is a one-part, medium modulus, neutral cure silicone formulation. Dow Corning 795 Silicone Sealant cures to a durable and flexible silicone rubber building joint seal, and can accommodate plus or minus 50 percent joint movement in a properly designed joint. Basic uses include structural and nonstructural glazing of glass, metal and plastic; adhering stiffeners to building panels; weatherproofing applications, including perimeter ASTMC 679: Tack Free Time and 50% Relative Humidity = 3 hours // Curing Time at 25°C (77°F) and 50% Relative Humidity = 7–14 days // Full Adhesion 14–21 days. Dow Corning 795 Silicone Building Sealant is a one part, neutral cure, architectural grade sealant that easily extrudes in any weather and cures quickly at room temperature. This cold applied, non sagging silicone material cures to a medium modulus silicone rubber upon exposure to atmospheric moisture. The cured sealant is durable and flexible enough to accommodate ±50 percent movement of original joint dimension when installed in a properly designed weather seal joint. In a properly designed structurally glazed joint, the sealant is strong enough to support glass and other panel materials under high wind load. Basic uses include structural and nonstructural glazing of glass, metal and plastic; adhering stiffeners to building panels; weatherproofing applications, including perimeter sealing of doors and windows. Important Note: Dow Corning 795 Silicone Building Sealant should not be applied to building materials that bleed oils, plasticizers or solvents, or in totally confined spaces. Do not apply to frost-laden or wet surfaces, or to surfaces that are in direct contact with food. Check cartridge label and Specification Data Sheet for additional limitations.
