About Optrel E684 Series Silver Expert Series Welding

Optrel has introduced the most advanced welding helmet on the market – the new Optrel E684. Optrel, manufactured in Switzerland, has been known for their High Quality Optics, but this lens takes HQO to a new level. The E684 meets the stringent 1/1/1/1 lens rating for the clearest, crispest view possible with the truest color of any lens out there. Welding with this helmet is like watching TV on a 4K Ultra HD TV! The new E684 also features Adaptive Shade Control! Set the helmet in the manual mode. Adjust the shade for a light intensity which you are comfortable with, and weld for a while. So lets say your current job is tig welding at 50 amps. Weld for at least 10 minutes, switch the lens to the “auto” mode and ASC takes over. Now if you pick up a stick welder and start welding at 200 amps, the lens will automatically adjust to maintain the same level of brightness – you won’t get blinded by the arc anymore! Other ADF lenses “snap” back to light. If you are welding with the lens set to shade 13, and stop welding, any other helmet goes from shade 13 to shade 4 as quickly as it can. The E684 features Twilight Technology. You can adjust how slowly the E384 goes from dark back to light. This will greatly reduce eye fatigue and eye strain, allowing you to work longer and safer. The E384 also has some other unique features like 2 shade ranges. You can adjust the lens from shade 5 to 9 and shade 9 to 13. You can change the Arc Detection Angle from 120 Deg to 60 Deg. If you are welding in a shop with another work station near you, then narrowing the ADA 120 deg to 60 deg will prevent another arc in the nearby workstation from making your helmet darken. The E684 also features sensitivity adjustment
