About 3M Rugged Comfort Quick Latch Half Facepiece
The 3Mâ„¢ Rugged Comfort Quick Latch Half Face Piece 6500 Series reusable respirator helps provide respiratory protection in harsh and dirty environments from airborne contaminants when used with approved 3M cartridges and filters. This face piece combines comfort, durability and stability with a firm, slightly textured silicone face seal and strong body construction. Patented quick-close design offers an easy, one-handed pop-up mechanism to put on and off the front piece while moving in and out of contaminated areas. The quick snap also eliminates the need to remove a hard helmet or face shield when lowering or raising the respirator. When properly fitted and used with approved 3Mâ„¢ cartridges and filters, this respirator helps provide respiratory protection in concentrations up to 10 times the allowed exposure limit (PEL). While it is the lightest 3M silicone front piece, it is still durable enough to withstand long hours and extreme conditions. The tough silicone face sealant offers extended life of the facepiece, even maintaining its shape in high heat environments. The front piece offers many other comfort features. Two innovative design features have been incorporated: a special valve cover that helps direct exhaled breath and moisture down and the patented 3M Cool Flowâ„¢ valve that helps make breathing easier by reducing heat and moisture. Made to fit securely and comfortably on the head, the face piece comes with an adjustable head harness with long lasting polyester and spandex straps that stretch and fit the person wearing the respirator.
