Marine Board is a form of HDPE plastic made specifically for use in marine and outdoor applications. This material is even stronger than typical HDPE and is specially formulated and designed to withstand harsh marine environments. What is marine board called? Marine Board is known under many different monikers, such as Marine Grade HDPE, Sea Board, Star Board, Marine Plywood, and Marine Lumber. Despite having numerous names, all forms of Marine Board are made of specially treated high density polyethylene, or HDPE. What are Marine boards used for? Marine boards are more durable, waterproof and stronger so they can hold more weight than normal boards. Due to these properties they are used mostly in yachts, trucks, ships, outdoor buildings, outdoor storage, boats and docks among other structures that need to weather the elements.
