Easy to use Sabouraud Dextrose Agar Powder (100 grams) for the cultivation of yeasts, molds, and other fungus. It is a great cost saver and a fun activity to pour your own Petri dishes. Rather than spending extra funds for prepared agar plates, you can use our SDA powder to pour up to 75 premium quality sabouraud dextrose agar dishes. Our sabouraud dextrose agar powder (SDA powder) is extremely high quality and made using biotech industry standards. The agar is excellent for mycology experiments, including mushroom cultivation. This is also a great science kit to learn microbiology and fantastic for laboratory and research use. There is enough powder included that you can pour a thick layer of agar perfect for fungal growth! You will see improved performance compared to other products. Contents: 1. 100g of Sabouraud Dextrose Agar Powder (SDA) with instructions Here are some basic instructions: 1. Add 65 grams per liter of water (distilled water is preferred). 2. Bring the mixture to a boil and mix well. 3. (Recommended) Autoclave the mixture for ~30 minutes at 15psi (121°C) 4. Pour enough agar to coat the bottom of each Petri dish. 1 Liter makes about 40 to 50 plates. 5. Let the agar cool down and solidify (this takes about 1-2hrs). 6.
