Malt Extract Agar (MEA) is a versatile medium used for cultivating various microorganisms, including fungi and bacteria. Agar serves multiple purposes in mushroom cultivation, including cloning purchased or foraged specimens, expanding existing cultures, streaking collected spores from spore prints, and evaluating liquid culture quality. Malt Extract Agar (MEA) is a popular medium for nurturing mushroom spores and cultures. Our MEA including Malt Extract, soy peptone and Dextrose. It's a pre-mixed dehydrated formula where 26 grams of media are suggested for every 500 ml of distilled water. Successful sterilization demands 15 PSI for 30 minutes, followed by cooling the media to 55°C (131°F) before pouring.
