About Corning 6797-600D PC-600D Digital Hot Plate With

The Corning hot plate has a temperature range of ambient to 550 degrees C, a white glass-ceramic top plate, and an LED readout. The white glass-ceramic top plate (Pyroceram) provides fast heating and resistance to chemicals and scratches. It has an LED readout to display temperature settings. Its temperature control knob adjusts temperature in 5-degree increments. For safety, a hot top light indicates when the unit is over 60 degrees C, even when the power is off. It can hold a support rod (sold separately) for holding an external temperature controller (sold separately). This 100V hot plate comes with a standard US three-prong plug for use in Japan and areas with similar electrical requirements. It is used to heat glassware and liquid solutions for scientific applications.
