The rotor has a maximum speed of 10,000 rpm or relative centrifugal force (rcf) of 10,600 x g. Its 48-place tube array holds 6 x 8-tube strip or 6 x 5-tube strip or 48 x 0.2mL PCR tubes (sold separately). No additional lid is needed for safe sample handling. This fixed-angle rotor is an accessory for use with Eppendorf microcentrifuge models 5417 C or 5417 D, which spin biological lab samples at high speeds to separate cellular material into component parts.
