About Labnet C1000230V MPS 1000 Mini Plate Spinner

The Labnet MPS 1000 centrifuge runs at 2,500 rpm and holds two standard microplates, half plates, or PCR tube strips. Opening the lid causes the rotor to brake to a stop for increased safety. The unit will spin down droplets or condensation on plates and strips before and after thermal cycling to increase polymerase chain reaction (PCR) yield. This low-speed centrifuge is suitable for applications in biotechnology and life science research. The centrifuge is non-refrigerated and does not have temperature control features. Specifications Maximum speed2,500 revolutions per minute (rpm)Maximum relative centrifugal force (RCF)500 x gPower230V 50HzWeight1.5kg/3.3lb.Dimensions18.3 x 19.1 x 20.8cm/7.2 x 7.5 x 8.2 inches (H x W x D)Maximum capacity2 standard (2 x 3) microplates, half plates, 8- or 12-tube PCR strips, or individual PCR tubes H is height, the vertical distance from the lowest to highest point; W is width, the horizontal distance from left to right; D is depth, the horizontal distance from front to back. A centrifuge is used to spin fluids of different densities to separate various parts, commonly blood and DNA samples. Centrifuges are composed of the main body or housing and a spinning rotor. Tubes of cellular material suspended in liquid are inserted into the rotor and spun at various speeds to separate components. Centrifuges are used in medical, industrial, and research laboratories, as well as academic and clinical settings. Labnet International, Inc., manufactures plastic labware and laboratory equipment for liquid handling, molecular biology, and bioresearch applications. The company, founded in 1984, is headquartered in Edison, NJ. What's in the Box? Labnet MPS 1000 centrifuge Power cord Instructions
