About BD 362761 Vacutainer CPT Glass Molecular

Stoppers contain no TBEP. The tubes can be used for serum, plasma or whole blood based on their color-coded tops. Vacutainer tubes are available with the conventional rubber stopper or a hemogard closure. The hemogard closure allows laboratory professionals to confidently handle specimens. The stopper that seals the tube is covered by a plastic shield to help protect lab personnel from contact with blood on the stopper or around the outer rim of the tube as well as from blood spattering when tube is opened. The rubber stoppers are recessed inside the shield, isolating any remaining blood from potential contact. All tubes are usable with 0194Z81 and Z82 series adapters and 9670L20 series holders which take 9670H10 series needles interchangeably. See thru label. The Vacutainer CPT Mononuclear Cell Preparation Tube is for the one step isolation of lymphocytes, monocytes, and plasma. Whole blood is collected and processed in a closed, sterile tube. During centrifugation a gel barrier isolates the mononuclear cells and plasma from the erythrocytes and granulocytes. The BD Vacutainer CPT Tube may be used to obtain highly concentrated mononuclear cells and/or plasma for immunotyping, culture, and cell function studies, and for tests using gene-amplification techniques. In addition, the mononuclear cells may be resuspended in the plasma to retain viability for storage and transportation. DNR (Latex) free and sterile. Conventional tube closure. Mylar label. Additive: Density gradient polymer gel and sodium citrate for mononuclear cell preparation, Sodium citrate 0.1mL 0.1 M and Ficoll medium. Measures 16mm diameter by 125mm Length.
