Coastal Shaft Collars - 1.625" Bore Diameter - Set Features

  • These set screw stainless steel shaft collars have an inside diameter of 1.625 inch, an outside diameter of 2.50 inches and a thickness of 0.813 inches. This pack includes 1 collar and its corresponding set screw.

  • Made in the USA by Coastal Machine Works. We strive to deliver high quality and precise collars. Every collar has its edges and hole deburred and its corresponding inside diameter bore engraved on its front face for easy identification.

  • Made from 303 stainless steel, these shaft collars have excellent corrosion resistance and are ideal for wet environments or when corrosive chemicals are present.

  • Install the shaft collar by sliding it on from the end of the shaft or tube and driving the included 3/8-16 x 3/8” cup point set screw into the shaft. The screw digs into the shaft material to create a strong hold.

  • Set screw shaft collars are commonly used to locate components, such as bearings, sprockets and pulleys, or as hard stops to limit the motion of the shaft or tube. However, they are very versatile and can be used for many applications outside of the ones listed here.

About Coastal Shaft Collars - 1.625" Bore Diameter - Set

Description I started Coastal Shaft Collars in 2021 as a side hustle to my mechanical engineering job that involved designing equipment for the food processing industry. We used thousands of collars a year and a few things bugged me. The quality of the foreign collars we were using always seemed to be subpar and the price was high for what we were getting. I set out to make collars onshore using high-quality stainless steel and spending the extra time to make sure I’m delivering a first-rate product. Every edge and hole is deburred to reduce/eliminate the risk of cuts. The country of origin and bore size is engraved to make identification easy. Finally, every collar is rinsed, washed and dried to remove any oil residue from the machining process. My hope is that you enjoy the fit and finish of my collars as much as I enjoy making them.
