Product Description OATEY solvent cement, heavy duty, 8 oz capacity, can, 510 G/L VOC, 1600 cps viscosity, liquid, Gray, 4 - 5 min at 30 - 50 deg F, 2 - 3 min at 50 - 70 deg F, 1 - 2 min at 70 - 90 deg F setting, 2 hr. Functional cure, solvent odor/scent, 14 - 23 deg F flash point, media: dry chemical, carbon dioxide, foam and water, composition: tetrahydrofuran, methyl ethyl ketone, acetone, PVC resin, Amorphous fumed silica, flammability rating: 1.8 lfl, 11.8 ufl, 0.88 - 0.92 specific gravity, 40 - 110 deg F application, applicable materials: PVC, application method: bristle brush or roller, 250 psi for 2 hr., 500 psi for 16 hr., 900 psi for 72 hr. Shear, standards: ASTM D2564, scaqmd 1168/316a, baaqmd method 40, for potable water, pressure pipe, Conduit and dwv. Heavy duty Gray cement for use on all schedules and classes PVC pipe and fitting up to 12” diameter with interference fit, up to 18” for non-pressure. Lo-v.O.C. Solvent cement meets California south Coast air quality management District (scaqmd) 1168/316a or baaqmd method 40 and various environmental requirements. Thick formula fills gaps in large diameter pipe and loose fitting joints.
