About Chevron Meropa 220 - Extreme-Pressure Industrial

Chevron Meropa 220, 35 pound Pail is an EP (extreme-pressure) gear oil that is commonly used in industrial enclosed geardrives where an AGMA 5 EP lubricant is required. This industrial EP lubricant is a premium Chevron gear oil that is designed to provide efficient power transfer, long equipment life, and decreased energy consumption in industrial EP gearboxes. The unique additive package in this oil contribute to its already excellent film strength (due to the premium quality base stocks) and allow it to exceed the performance demands of most industrial gearboxes specifying an EP lubricant. This product was formerly known as Texaco Meropa 220. This product may also be used in Bijur oil application equipment. Performance Characteristics Extended lubricant life Multipurpose applications Extreme-pressure gear lube Excellent anti-wear properties High oxidation stability Features Meropa 220 boasts a highly effective EP system that forms a protective film in areas of metal-to-metal contact, thus increasing efficiency and decreasing energy consumption. The excellent water separation ability of this oil also make it an exceptional lubricant in situations exposed to high pressures and temperatures wherein moisture can collect - without decreasing performance levels, this oil can readily separate water and continue protecting the internal components of your machine while also inhibiting rust. This product satisfies the following requirements: AGMA EP 9005-E02, DIN 51517-3 (CLP), MAG Cincinnati, Cincinnati Machine P-74, and U.S. Steel 224.
