Kapton polyimide film shows excellent electrical insulation properties, excellent release surface at elevated temperatures, and excellent solvent resistant. Kapton tape remain stable and combines excellent physical, electrical, and mechanical properties; therefore, Kapton tape has been used in various applications such as 3D Printing, electronics manufacturing, spacecraft and satellite at temperatures as low as -273°C (-459°F) and as high as 400°C (752°F).
