About Goodyear EP Wingfoot Black Nitrile Rubber Air Hose

The Goodyear Engineered Products Wingfoot nonconductive hose has a 1/2" inside diameter (ID) and is 24" in length. Its Rubber Manufacturers Association (RMA) Class A nitrile synthetic rubber tube is rated to undergo a maximum volume change of +25% and to maintain a minimum of 80% of its tensile strength after exposure to oil. Its black cover is resistant to abrasion and ozone, and is made of RMA Class B Chemivic, a Buna-N-Vinyl synthetic rubber that will undergo a maximum volume change of +65% and maintain at least 50% of its tensile strength after exposure to oil. This hose is reinforced with spiral synthetic yarn for the strength necessary to reach and maintain its maximum pressure rating of 300 psi, and it is capable of functioning effectively at temperatures ranging from -20 to +190 degrees F (-29 to +88 degrees C). It is rated with a minimum electrical resistance greater than one (1) megohm per inch of hose length at 1,000V DC, and comes equipped with two factory-installed brass male NPT couplings. This hose is manufactured for general purpose applications such as industrial air service, compressor lines, pneumatic tools, low-pressure spray, and other purposes where the need for oil resistance is moderate.Industrial hoses transfer or convey air or liquid in hose systems. When selecting industrial hoses, use the STAMPED method to help determine the type of hose needed:S = Size (ID, OD, and length)T = Temperature (maximum and minimum temperatures of material being transported)A = Application (industry or process)M = Material (to be conveyed, type and concentration)P = Pressure (maximum working pressure)E = Ends (type of end connectors or couplings on hose)D = Delivery method (volume and velocity)The inside diameter of the hose must be adequate to keep pressure loss to a minimum and avoid damage to the hose due to heat generation or excess
