CONSISTENT SHOT- This distribution tool allows you to evenly distribute your coffee grounds and tamp your grounds with consistent pressure every time.
DUAL HEAD - Distributor/Leveler and tamper are designed in one, double sides are available.
STAINLESS STEEL DISTRIBUTOR - The base of this Pavant coffee distributor is made of solid 304 Stainless Steel. The stainless steel will prevent this distributor from getting rusted. It avoids letting you use your fingers to smooth out the coffee powder, makes you feel reassurance and comfortable when you’re making coffee.
The 45.5mm Tamper & Distributor Combo is designed to move the coffee grounds consistently and evenly with three angled slopes. This eliminates the inconsistencies of coffee distribution mid-service. Consistent distribution of your puck will improve the consistency of your tamping and in effect increase overall quality in the extraction. Product Specification: Base Diameter: 45.5mm Materials: Anodized Aluminium & Stainless Steel Distribution Side Maximum Adjustable Depth: 16mm Tamper Side Maximum Adjustable Depth: 16mm Approximate Weight: 423g Here's how to get set up: STEP 1 - Load your portafilter basket with the desired amount of freshly ground coffee. STEP 2 - Retract the distributor side to it's shallowest depth, and place the distributor on your portafilter, blade side down. STEP 3 - Gently spin the distributor until your coffee grounds have been evenly distributed and leveled. If the distributor does not reach the coffee, adjust the depth accordingly. Note: you do not want to be applying heavy pressure to the grounds at this stage -- only enough to level the coffee in the basket. STEP 4 - Flip the distributor over and extend the tamper (flat side) to its maximum height. Tamp your grounds to your desired pressure. STEP 5 - For consistent tamping every time, adjust the tamper depth so it matches the depth of the tamp you created in Step 4.
