About Walnut Pie By Robin Anderson, 18x24-Inch

This ready to hang, gallery-wrapped art piece features pink and purple flowers sitting next to a pie. When Robin Anderson was six years old, her mother, trying to entertain a bored child, sent her off to draw a picture. From that point, with the continual support of her mother, Robin went on to Junior College and later received advanced placement in the Art Center College of Design in Pasadena, CA. Financial restraints forced Robin to leave the Art Center and turn her attention toward freelance commissions and commercial art. After ten years she began working with oils and devoted herself fulltime to fine art. After seven months and a move to southern California she had her first showing in Laguna Beach, which began her successful career as an oil painter. Giclee (jee-clay) is an advanced printmaking process for creating high quality fine art reproductions. The attainable excellence that Giclee printmaking affords makes the reproduction virtually indistinguishable from the original piece. The result is wide acceptance of Giclee by galleries, museums, and private collectors. Gallery wrap is a method of stretching an artist's canvas so that the canvas wraps around the sides and is secured a hidden, wooden frame. This method of stretching and preparing a canvas allows for a frameless presentation of the finished painting.
