This ready to hang, gallery wrapped art piece features a street through a town next to a dock. John Grimshaw was a Victorian-era artist, a "remarkable and imaginative painter" knonw for his city night-scenes and landscapes. He created landscapes of accurate color, lighting, vivd detail and realism. He painted landscapes that typified seasons or a type of weather, city and suburban street scenes and moonlit views. His careful painting and skill in lighting effects meant that he captured both the appearance and the mood of a scene in minute detail. Giclee (jee-clay) is an advanced printmaking process for creating high quality fine art reproductions.
