Personalize your worship or contemplative space with this small floor altar. Table top is 20" by 11", and it sets 10" tall with a built-in shelf.....This altar is designed for use along with a kneeling stool or meditation pillow. The outstanding beauty of this piece of furniture is due to it's solid hardwood construction - absolutely no plywood is used. The Personal Altar that is featured in this listing is constructed out of solid Cherry hardwood - harvested locally in Central Maine. The completed bench is finish-coated with environmentally-friendly, non-toxic beeswax finish. Handmade in the USA - my small wood shop is located at our home in the wonderful state of Maine. Eastern Cherry is a very pleasant hardwood lumber species that is appreciated for it's subtle orange, pinkish-tan shades and clear grain patterns....it has a very beautiful, warm tone. We get our Cherry lumber from an independent sawyer who harvests it throughout central Maine where it grows as a common hardwood species.
