About Carmel Cheese Wax, Yellow (1 Lb), Food-Grade Wax To

Carmel cheese wax is a food-grade wax which is used to create a protective coating around cheese. It is specially designed to protect cheese from airborne contaminants such as bacteria and mold and also creates a moisture barrier to ensure the cheese doesn’t dry out. This treatment greatly prolongs the cheese’s shelf life. Application Applying wax to cheese can be done using one of two main methods: either by dipping the cheese in the wax, or by brushing the wax onto the cheese. Dipping cheese in wax will require more wax and a deeper container in which to submerge the cheese, depending on its size.
