Plus, the simple operation means that you no longer have to stand by the stove and make estimates. In addition to helping get candy textures just right, the thermometer ensures that fried food cooks for the minimum time, so results are more crispy and less fatty. Sturdily built with a stainless-steel splatter/heat shield, the thermometer features a 10-1/2-inch pivoting probe and a large LCD monitor. Simple icons guide pre-set use, while a handy temperature guide on the back helps out with measurements. Readings can be displayed in either Fahrenheit or Celsius, and when the ideal temperature is reached, the monitor beeps and flashes.
