Product Description DuPont whole house water filter technology increases clarity of your entire home's water by reducing sediment, which extends the life of appliances that process water. These filters and systems can also be used at the office. The Valve-in-head Whole House Water Filtration System features an easy-glide by-pass valve built-in to the housing head. This allows you to replace cartridges without shutting off the water main. The clear housing lets you monitor filter life. It includes a DuPont 800 series cartridge which reduces sediment like rust and silt particles which improves tap and bath water. It is a universal system which makes it easy to upgrade filtration with higher performing DuPont water filters. The filter life is 15,000 gallons of water and the maximum filtered water flow is 5 gallons per minute. It has 3/4-inch inlets and outlets. The system has a three year limited warranty. It includes the filter head with housing, an 800 series DuPont cartridge and a tank wrench. Tools needed for installation are a Phillips screwdriver, adjustable wrench and a pipe cutter or hacksaw. It is tested and certified by the Water Quality Association against NSF/ANSI Standard 42 for material requirements and structural integrity.
