About Poly Guard System Replacement Cartridge
The Poly Guard Crystal System provides an economical means to control and prevent corrosion and scale buildup in commercial, industrial and residential environments. The system slowly releases microscopic crystals into the water supply through the Poly Guard Cartridge. The cartridge fits 10″ standard whole-house filter housings, holds 1.5 pounds of crystals, and can treat up to 30,000 gallons of water. Poly Guard GP10C includes six replacement cartridges. Poly Guard is specifically formulated to help control and prevent the damaging effects of hard water, including scale and iron staining. By reacting with iron and manganese, it prevents the formation of scale, and attacks existing pipe scale to prevent deposits from forming again. Poly Guard mounts a line of defense that guards pipes from the destructive effects of hard water by forming a protective coating on metal and plastic surfaces, preventing scale, corrosion and copper leaching.
