About Monastery Icons Our Lady Of Perpetual Help Mounted
The Our Lady of Perpetual Help icon has been venerated by Christians of the East and West for centuries. The Archangels Gabriel and Michael hold the instruments of the Lord's Passion, while the Divine Child looks on and clings to His Mother's hand. These Virgin Mary icons are also known as “Our Mother of Sorrows.” Popular alike to Eastern Orthodox and Catholic worshippers, this icon has proven to be one of the most popular icon themes in Christendom. Since 1981 the works of iconographer Brother Simeon Davis have inspired a renaissance in sacred Christian art in America. His unique combination of classic style, radiant and fresh colors, and English text has touched the hearts of Christians looking for traditional style iconographic artwork of their most beloved sacred themes.
