About LLADRÓ Large Glossy Porcelain Nativity
A lovely design first introduced to the Lladro catalog in 1969, the Holy Family sculpture offers peaceful contemplation during the Christmas season or throughout the year. Crafted from premium porcelain with a gloss finish, the piece features Joseph standing, Mary seated, and Jesus curled up in his mother’s lap. Both Joseph and Mary are beautifully elongated for a serene stylization, and the baby Jesus is sweetly detailed. Coloring throughout the piece is soft and simple. The creation of Fulgencio Garcia, Holy Family stands 8-3/4 inches high, allowing for easy placement on bureaus, shelves, and mantelpieces.Founded by a trio of Spanish brothers in 1953, Lladro is known the world over for superb craftsmanship and timeless images. Designed by artists and created by skilled artisans, each piece is fashioned in the company’s City of Porcelain workshops in Valencia.
