The Munsters Village Collection, licensed to Department 56 by Universal Studios, is inspired by the TV series from the 1960s. The prime-time hit aired from 1964-1966, having earned a Golden Globe Award nomination in 1965 for Best Television Series. A mashup of the popular monster stories of the era and the iconic depictions of the ideal American family, the show’s success garnered 70 episodes and continues to gain popularity through syndication these many decades later.
