How to Make a Good Cup of Mate Hot Mate: Place a mate-bag into a cup or put into a tea-pot as many mate-bags as cups you want to prepare. Pour hot water. Let it brew for three minutes. Add milk, sugar or sweetener if you wish. Ideal for breakfast or afternoon breaks. Cold: Make it as if it were a hot cup of tea. Use one mate bag for each person. When your mate is ready, let it cool in the fridge. Once it is cold, add sugar or sweetener, some ice-cubes and a slice of lemon if you wish. Delicious and refreshing.
