About ECOTEAS Organic Yerba Mate Unsmoked Tea 24 Bags
We coined the term unsmoked to describe the unique drying method that our farmers employ, which uses warm air instead of the typical wood smoke to dry the leaves after harvest. We flash heat the herb with hot air. Then we slow-dry it with warm air. Both stages are 100% smoke-free. After drying, our yerba mate is aged for a minimum of nine months to allow the flavor to mellow. ECOTEAS sources organic, fair trade yerba mate from a 4-generation family farm in the state of Misiones in northeastern Argentina. Our family farmers are committed to ecological farming using minimize packaging through cutting-edge compostable materials. Yerba mate naturally contains caffeine plus 2 other factors that may account for the more balanced, enduring boost that many people experience: Theobromine, found in chocolate and theophylline found in green tea.
