A sheet of silver is placed between each page of fine lightweight paper for easy handling. Product Information: Genuine Silver Leaf. The genuine leaf is beaten mechanically by machines, through thousands of repetition, mauling it to a thin layer of Silver. Other uses of genuine silver leaf, is applied in interior design (decorating walls), exterior renovation such as domes in churches, figurines, Furniture restorations, Signage, Signboards and Photo frames, Scrap booking, mirrors and other craft work. NOTE!! With Genuine Silver metal leaf, it made with 100% pure silver. There are other metal leaves out on the market that are called "silverleaf" because of their appearance. but they are in fact aluminum, and has ZERO silver in them. The industrial term for these leaves are called imitation silver leaf. These leaves are used for mass production of furniture and frames. The aluminum leaf has less luster, and has a “whiter” metallic look than Genuine silver. Genuine silver has a warmer colour tone. Please note that Genuine silver will change colour over time. So if one is to apply on to products it is necessary to varnish with a protective coating Artists sometimes desires the oxidized effects of the leaf, and use it as part of its design. Please also note that our leaves are industrial class leaf. The size are almost 4 times as large as other leafs you see on the internet. (usually their size is 1 3/4" x 1 3/4" but it is claimed to be approx 2x2")
