About PRESTIGE Paints Exterior Paint And Primer In
Prestige Paints 100% acrylic exterior latex paint and primer in one is a high end paint intended to be used on exterior surfaces including properly prepared wood, masonry surfaces, cement board siding, vinyl**, aluminum, and factory primed siding. This durable, washable paint combines fade resistance, stain resistance and ease of cleaning, providing a long-lasting finish that can withstand wear and tear while remaining easy to maintain. A flat finish provides a smooth, uniform look. Flat or matte finishes get their name from the lack of reflection from the painted surface. This is one of the benefits of a matte finish, because it helps hide surface imperfections, such as dents, nail holes, or patches. Flat finishes often require fewer coats than semi-gloss and gloss paints and also are easier to touch up because there is less contrast between the touch-up paint and the rest of the painted surface. Average coverage 250-400 sq. ft. (23-37 square meters) per gallon. Surface Preparation: Remove dirt, grease, wax and soap residue, loose and peeling paint. Glossy areas must be dulled by sanding. New woods may require an oil base primer/sealer. On metal use proper rust primer. Application: Stir or mix paint before using and intermix all containers for color uniformity. Apply as is with a high quality brush, roller or pad painter. Thin sparingly with water if necessary for spraying. Do not overspread. Temperature must be above 50 F (10 C). For best performance, apply two coats of paint on new surfaces. Do not use indoors. Dry Time: Dries in 1 to 2 hours. Allow to dry overnight before recoating. Low temperature or high humidity may increase dry time. Cleanup: Use warm water and soap.
