Wire Specifications: - Diameter: 32 Gauge / 0.20mm - Shape: Round - Alloy Kanthal A-1 - Length 25 ft. - Heat Treatment Annealed (soft) - Melting Temperature 1500°C / 2730°F - Max Continuous Operating Temp: 1400°C / 2550°F - Resistance: 13.1 Ohms/ft at room temperature Kanthal A-1 is a ferritic iron-chromium-aluminium alloy (FeCrAl alloy) for use at temperatures up to 1400°C (2550°F). The alloy is characterized by high resistivity and very good oxidation resistance. This alloy is less susceptible to distortion, growth, and increase in resistance when heated than other alloys of similar composition. This wire is for repair and maintenance of electronic components. Typical applications for Master Wire Supply Kanthal A-1 are: home and industrial heaters, diffusion heaters, dishwashers, cooking plates, electric blankets, hair dryers, kerosene-fired appliances, kettles, refrigerators, rice cookers, tumble dryers, washing machines, electrical heating elements in high-temperature furnaces for heat treatment, ceramics, glass, steel, and electronics industries.
