Our 84-inch long barn beam mantel piece starts as a solid wooden log from Michigan's Upper Peninsula, which is then hand hewn to a mantel shelf by our team of artisans. These coffee colored beams undergo an extensive kiln-drying process that ensures the wood mantels are suitable for long-term indoor use. Each one-of-a-kind, our individual mantel shelves may include holes, knots, and hand hewn marks, including unique chisel markings and differences in edgework.
