About Inner-Lip Plate

This specialized plate was designed to help persons with independent eating issues such as poor muscle control get food onto their utensil. An inner lip curls slightly back on itself to really help fold food on to spoons or forks. The deeper inner lip also helps to reduce the chance of food being pushed off the plate and accidentally creating a spill. The bright red plate is part of the Redware line of eating aids. It was created for persons with Alzheimer's who frequently lose the ability to see lighter color foods on lighter background, (typical color scheme for a place setting). A study from Boston University discovered that seeing the food on the plate helped many patients maintain a healthy calorie intake and weight.All dished are molded of FDA grade rugged polypropylene and are dishwasher and microwave safe.
