From Library Journal Grade 8-10-Romance and life-threatening illnesses abound when several characters from previous series entries are reunited at Jenny House, a camp for seriously ill young people and their families. Former campers Katie and her ex-boyfriend, Josh, are reunited here as counselors, and readers learn that track-star Katie is actually a heart-transplant survivor and that Josh's brother was the donor. A summer working in close proximity brings the couple's romantic feelings back to the surface, feelings that are forced into the open after he has a terrible riding accident that threatens to leave him paralyzed. The author portrays the young adults well, showing their insecurities and strengths. Although death does hover in the background, the story is not depressing.
