This items is for 4 bags of bird nesting fiber. Each small bag contains approximately 1/2 an ounce of Alpaca Fiber to be used to refill our grapevine bird nesting balls or other vessel you may have to provide material for the birds. This is the fiber from our alpacas belly and legs that is not well suited for spinning into yarn. So we use it in a variety of ways such as this. The fiber is easily separated and pushed through the openings in the grapevine ball with a pencil. Leave a little bit hanging out so that the birds will see it and pull it out for their nests. The refill fiber is also available as an add on option when purchasing our bird nesting ball. Not all birds like this material, so your results may vary depending on environment and time of year.
