Looks and tastes remarkably like a fresh collagen casing. Use with any meat, fish, vegetables, fruits, and some seafoods. These casings are perfect for any small diameter fresh sausage. Vegetarian and vegan friendly. Casings are very tender, stuff carefully and when cooking bring temperature up very slowly. Stuffing capacity approx. 8 lbs. per strand (one strand per package). Excellent size for hotdog or small diameter sausages. Totally edible. Keep refrigerated. Pan fry for no longer than 3-4 minutes with (preferably)no oil, such as on a skillet, on medium/light heat. If smoking, dry @ 140-150F for at least an hour with dampers fully open, then add smoke and cook at temps below 175°F always keeping dampers fully open. Can be microwaved as well.
