Receive your own set of “devil’s toenails” from Texas USA. They have received this nickname due to their unique shape. I guess someone thought this is what the devil’s toenails must look like. Also known as fossil oysters or Pelecypods. Another unique feature of these oysters is that they will fluoresce a light orange color under short wave fluorescent light. These Oyster fossils are from the Lower Cretaceous period and the Genius is Texigryphea.
