This heavy duty, cast body, quarter turn angle stop valve is the solution to a long lasting, dependable shut-off valve for your residence, commercial and public properties, and all places that require a 1/2 inch press inlet x 3/8 inch OD comp outlet. The chrome plated, lead free, single piece designed valve with nut and ferrule is made for long-lasting durability and heavy duty usage in potable and non-potable plumbing and water distribution systems. Note to installer: This heavy duty valve is machined and crafted with very high precision; leaks after installs are very rare. If leaks do occur, most likely it is due to an incorrect installation method. Follow this guidance during install: - DO NOT reuse old ferrule and nut. Remember to remove existing ferrule and nut from previous valve as this may cause improper seal and potential catastrophic flood to the property. - DO NOT overtighten the nut as this will deform the compression ring and cause a leak. - DO NOT use on copper stub-out that has been deformed or has uneven surface. Product Disclaimer: P65 warning requires products sold in the State of California to display a warning label indicating any traces of chemicals known to the State to cause birth defects or other reproductive harm. Although this product is listed as "lead free/low lead", it only pertains to the material of the area where potable water runs through/touches. Other areas such as the handle may still have minute traces of lead and has to be indicated per P65 Warning.
