Overview :The CP2112 evaluation kit includes an evaluation board, in which a CP2112 device is pre installed to evaluate preliminary software development. A large number of input/output (I/O) connections are provided to facilitate prototyping using evaluation boards. Location of various I/O connectors.
Features: CP2112 has USB2.0 to I2C interface, USB bus power supply, and no external power supply is required. It is a two-wire I2C/IIC/TWI/SMBUS interface, supporting four transmission speeds of 20KHz/100KHz/400KHz/750KHz. It can provide power supply+3.3V and+5V output. Interface signals include SCL, SDA, GND,+5V and+3.3V. The two-wire synchronous serial port I2C/IIC/TWI/SMBUS is an active serial port. The working temperature is - 20 ℃~+70 ℃.
Hardware interface: First connect the CP2112 evaluation board to the PC. Then connect one end of the USB cable to the USB port on the computer. Connect the other end of the USB cable to the USB connector on the CP2112 evaluation board. Connect SDA, SCL and grounding pins on CP2112 to the SMBus device. The external pull-up resistor is not required if the pull-up resistor on the CP2112 evaluation board is used. Please standardize your use.
Software interface: CP2112 is a HID device that uses standard HID functions available in the operating system. For the convenience of Windows, Silicon Lab packages the standard HID functions into the CP2112 software package. The HID report structure of CP2112 is customized for the device, not compatible with other HID report structures (such as mouse or keyboard).
SMBus Signals:The SMBus interface terminal block and access headers are included to easily interace SMBus devices to the evaluation board. The terminal block can be used to connect wires to the board, and the access connectors can be used to connect scope probes to the SMBus interface for debugging. The signals that are accessible through these two connectors are SDA, SCL, GND, and the external pull-up voltage signal.
