SFF-8482 SAS 22 pin to 7 pin + 15 pin SATA hard drive raid adapter with 15 pin power connector The SFF-8482 is a connector design to connect SAS drives, both SAS hard drives and SAS SSD drives. The SFF-8482 is a 29-pin connector with a plastic shell and is configured with 15 pins that support the drive's power requirements and (2) groups of 7 pins that carry the SAS data signals. The SFF-8482 supports 2 SAS ports (lanes) to/from the drive. Note: 1. It can connect SATA hard drive to SATA motherboard. 2. It can connect the SAS hard drive to the SAS motherboard. 3. The SAS hard drive cannot be connected to a regular SATA motherboard. (It works if your motherboard has the SAS chipset. Otherwise it doesn't work.) 4.
