Voice prompts assist you with menu navigation. It also has an FM radio, low voltage prompt, customizable channel names, and VOX for hands-free operation. The KG-805F has up to 2 watts of transmit power, the legal limit for FRS! It is built to the standards of expensive commercial radios in durability and audio quality. This isn't a kid's walkie talkie, although anyone can use it. The 805F is rated IP55 dust and water resistant, a plus when taking it with you outdoors. It has a backlit LCD display with three customizable color options. The front panel keys are also backlit for operation in the dark. The KG 805F is powered by a 1700mAh Li-Ion battery pack for hours of operation. An optional 2600mAh high capacity battery pack is also available for even greater uptime.
